I got married and had four children, and throughout my life, I never got along with my husband... I was patient and patient!!!
We separated when I was 50!!!
I was sad and depressed... and felt heartbroken and lonely. The children were with him because I couldn't support them due to my poverty.
During my waiting period, I found comfort in my Lord.
I found comfort in Him and spoke to Him often... I asked Him to perform Hajj!
"Perform Hajj, Hajj, O Lord..." I asked this sincerely in secret and in public.
My family was surprised... You are observing your waiting period, and our situation is poor, and you don't have a mahram.
How could that be?!
Leave me alone with my Lord. Nothing is difficult for Him... My waiting period has ended...
A friend visited me carrying a picture of a man from Medina.
His wife died and he wants to marry another woman!!!
I vehemently refused... I'm not young... and my children are young men.
And most importantly, he's over ninety years old. She said to me, "Don't you want to go on Hajj?!"
Let him be the reason... I agreed.
He went to Damascus for a few days... One day he visited us...
Another day we completed the marriage contract...
And the third day he left at dawn!!!
My family took me to his hotel room to spend that one night with him!!!
There was nothing between us. At dawn, he would travel back to his country.
She lowered her head in shame as she spoke.
I went in to the strange man.
He was very tired. He suffered from asthma and severe shortness of breath, which he attributed to the weather.
We prayed the evening prayer, and he said to me, "Listen, my dear girl.
I'm tired, and my chest hurts.
I'll leave tomorrow and register the marriage in my country. I'll get you an entry visa, and within a week, you'll be with me, God willing.
We'll take it easy in our home!!!"
She said, very shyly, "Believe me, my children, he didn't even touch my hand."
We slept. In the morning, we took him to the airport, and that's how it was.
Five days later, I received my visa and plane ticket.
I said goodbye to my family and traveled to my husband.
His eldest son was waiting for me.
He told me, "Everyone is waiting for you at the big house."
I arrived at my husband's house.
Many strange faces greeted me!
His sons, daughters, and grandchildren, except for him!
I asked about him.
They said, "He died three days after his return!"
I was shocked!
Why didn't you tell me?!!!
They replied, "We asked our sheikhs, and they told us that the marriage is legal and complete.
It would be better for you to come and spend your waiting period in your husband's house and yours, and receive your full inheritance!"
You can't imagine my astonishment!
The point is, the waiting period was a prison within a prison within a prison.
Loss... imprisonment... and alienation!
My husband's sons treated me with love and humanity.
When the waiting period was over, we were on the cusp of Dhu al-Hijjah.
I asked his eldest son to accompany me to Hajj if he would be so kind.
He granted my request!!!
I performed Hajj that year.
I returned and they gave me the choice between living with them or returning to my country.
I chose to return.
My husband owned nothing but the big house.
They assessed the price and gave me my dues, my deferred dowry, and a gold set he had bought for me before his death.
I put them in a bag, inside a bag, inside a bag, and carried them in my handbag.
At the airport... How?!
By God, I don't know how that bag was stolen!!!
I returned to my country just as I had left.
And all I gained from that experience was the Hajj!!!
But when I asked God, I asked Him sincerely.
He had told me in His Noble Book:
"For those who do good, there is the best [reward] and even more."
So I ask from my weakness.
He gives from my abundance.
A while after my arrival, my husband's son told me that my father was an employee and had a retirement pension that, after his death, would go to his wife.
So I began receiving my husband's salary every month for one night!!!
It was money that saved me from asking people for money and helped me live with dignity.
And to this day, after thirty years, I continue to use it to help my children and loved ones!!!
Believe me, my children, I pray for his mercy every day and remember him every day.
And I can hardly remember the father of my children, with whom I lived for a lifetime!!!
A story told by the dentist.
He who was fixing her dentures
says, "She left us, but her story has remained in my head..."
She said, "Look, my son, you ask God sincerely and in your own way."
And he He will give you from His generosity and grace.
Ask Him, my son, and He will give you!
Ask God for forgiveness and well-being for me and you in this world and the hereafter.
